Just Another Week of Service

Well this past week has been quite interesting last Saturday I had volunteered for the "Rush" Triathlon. It was lots of fun. Some of my coworkers came to volunteer as well and everyone had a great time. We had a huge turn out of people. We had about 377 racers more or less. My friend Jamie was in charge of everything she placed me in charge of the biking portion of the race it. For it we woke up at 4:30 in the morning to meet with all the volunteers at 5 it was a great time to sleep in considering that because we always wake up at 3:30 for early morning custodial anyway. Well we had fun but I was dead afterwards and slept until about 9:45 I called Liz and we talked for a while it was a great way to end the day. On tuesday afternoon we helped out with a service activity in the park called "Celebrating Youth" it's a get together for local businesses and leaders in the community. Basically it's a carnival for the kids who are starting school the next day. It was fun. I was in charge of the "Ping-Pong" Toss it was very exhausting I was just about to keel over by the end. Because I'd been up for about 13 hours and was very tired. Anyway that was that. Here you can see Jamie and I afterwards when we were all cleaned up. For some reason the bugs were really attracted to our green shirts.

Just Another Engagement Announcment

Well contrary to popular belief the answer to the previous poll was the J series. Sorry to all those who wanted it to be the x series. In any case Liz and I are unofficially officially engaged. We're planing on the Oakland Temple perhaps sometimes in July but for now we'll see what happens. Other plans are not official yet because the deed has not been done yet. *The Proposal* but anyway that's what's going on for now other then that. That's it for now but I'll keep you all posted until then.

Just Another Blog Update

Well after much consideration, thought and prayer. I have come to repent of my terrible sin. For this reason I have come to update my blog. So here we are many months later. Well in a nut shell I've just completed my second semester here at BYU-Idaho and loved every minute of it. I was extremely busy last semester not only classes but also: Ultimate Frisbee, Academy of Comedy (An Improve group that I helped run and will be heading in the fall :), Church callings, etc. Lots to do but my favorite pass time was spending time with my fantastic girlfriend: Liz. Other then that here in Rexburg what else can I say but that the whole place is totally dead. There is little to nothing to do. To keep myself busy I work early morning custodial in the Benson building. I have fun cleaning stuffed animals, changing light bulbs in cadaver labs and feeding turtles. My co-workers are fantastic to talk with. In any case with my friends that are up here we usually go see movies at the dollar theater, get snow cones, eat Sunday dinners together and what not it's a lot of fun. One thing I am grateful for is to be able to talk to Liz everyday. Although she's back home in Seattle I'm glad she takes the time out of her day to talk to me. We enjoy each others company over any distance. LOL well at least for now. Life is just normal other then that. I gave a talk this morning in church on Regret. I did feel very bad because the other speakers were very good but the congregation was falling asleep. So when I got up I tried to be really peppy and fun which seemed to work I got lots of compliments form everyone afterwards. I hope the message got across. Other then that I was asked to volunteer for the local triathalon next month to help out organizing it and what not. So that will be fun. This week on Friday I'll go with some friends to a midnight book sale on some book all the girls are oogeling over. (Whatever) Any that's the news for now.

Just Another Day in Fontana

Well it has been quite a while since I've updated my blog but here we are. Well anyway a lot has happened in the past month. Christmas was great spending time with family. But now that I'm down here in Fontana and life is good I try to be helpful but never the less stay out of everyone's way at the same time. I'm just trying my best to stay on top of things. The good news is that I have a job interview next monday at eddible arrangments. So I'm hoping to get a job there. That will be fun and different. Also even though Emily and I have broken up we still stay in contact as much as possible but since we both have different schedules we have a hard time some times getting together to talk but we usually find time. I enjoy being able to talk with her and hearing her insights and about her days in general. She is a treasure. But other then these things going on not much else is going on. The Fontana stake conference was fantastic. President Hinkley talked about effective marrages and four important things that will build a strong foundation in the family. I greatly enjoyed the oppertunity I had to be there. Other then that I'm trying to keep up with my study and doing my best to keep up with life. But as the wind my howl and skreech in your ears you still have to bare the burden of the weight that fall upon you shoulders and carry you load up the mountain.

Just Another Thanksgiving....or not

So I know that it's been a while since I've posted anything but I've just been really busy and occupied. The trip was lots of fun. We left the Friday before at 5 in the evening and got into San Fran. at about 11:30 in the afternoon. We spent the week seeing the sights and doing tourist stuff it was fun I got to go to a few of my old haunts and hiked Sweney ridge. It was great. We went to the beach and did lots of stuff. For being a vacation I was exausted when we got back to Rexburg. I was totally echausted but I had a meeting at church about two hours later it was fun.....not really it was really hard to stay awake during church but that's what happens some times. I had fun a lot of interesting things happened too that i hope can be summed up in a few of these pictures. But I hope that they're enjoyable to see. And if I do say so myself these are some pretty good pictures. O yes this was the first pole that no one got correct the correct answer is Alien metal that's the material that is unbreakable that is used by the Dark Knight society.

Just Another Formal

Well this week has been fun. I've had lots of interesting things happen. First off this past Friday we had our fall formal. It was a lot of fun. I got my date, my friend Emily/Megan a corsage. My roommate Tyler came with us. We left as a big group to go out to eat before the formal to a Mexican place it was pretty good. My roommate Mohan was kind enough to lend us his car. So we took it there and too the dance. We had fun at the dance. They had two rooms one for regular "get your freak on" music and the other featured a live band that played all kinds of music. It was very well done. But as others said they did play a little too many slow songs. But hey it was fun. After the dance we went to Mcdonald's and got some McBlizzards that was interesting then to Jack in the Box for a milkshake. I was told to let them know I like their style. Which I honestly didn't really care for. Yesterday we speratically went to Quiznos I couldn't eat anything because our ward has our fast Sunday today. I believe because we are having our ward conference next week. So other then that. We're planning on having a meeting with the FHE Mom's and Dad's next Tuesday so we can talk about problems they might have and just about what we can do to elevate and strenthen each member of our groups. But that's about it. I'm just excited all the time for new experiences. Also at work yesterday my phone died multiple times while I was trying to make an important call it was extremly frustrating. I had to charge it twice yesterday!! How crazy is that? I wasn't pleased. Anyway I'm just glad it's Sunday. That's all for now also the answer to last weeks poll was Zeo.

Just Another Casual Day

Funny things have happened this week and some intresting things. First off the other day I went to Wall Mart to get a new phone card. On the way in I used the automatic doors to get in as I was going in a little boy quickly ran up to the door and when the doors opened he was going to get crushed by the doors but I jumped over to him and pulled the door away. He seemed unphased by what had just happened. I was breathing heavily and was very relieved. He was maybe two or three I thought that wouldn't have been good at all if I had done nothing. Afterwards the little boy just walked over to his parents and they didn't seem to care. I walked in relieved. An elderly couple went over to the parents and reproached them severely. Also I was working yesterday and every assignment I had was ok they didn't really need me there. I was somewhat perplexed to go and not do anything at all. I felt like I was kind of just hanging around. I didn't really know what to do. So I just sat around and directed people to the right theater hall of building. During the big group date/ Activity yesterday it snowed for about half an hour then quickly melted. The little tiny hail resembled little white kisses. I thought that was neat. In my job were required to have our phone on all the time but it keeps dying. I'm very upset with that. I realized what I would really like for my birthday. I would love to have a new phone. Preferably an Iphone but I'm realistic. This really stinks but what can you do but just deal with it? Anyway that's what's happening here. By the way the answer to the poll last week was Ace. Ardes is the name of Zeno's sword. Illaden is Rook's uncle. Ace is the correct answer.
